It’s finally fall, which, in my opinion, is the superior season. Fall brings the exciting activities that we’ve anticipated all year: watching the changing leaves, digging hoodies out of your closets, and sipping tea on chilly days. There’s a million things to do amidst sweater weather, but if you’re out of ideas, I’ve listed a few below.
When it rains, cozy up in a sweater, grab a book, and sip a hot drink
Drink an overpriced seasonal latte from your favorite coffee shop
Grab some friends and have a study session (productivity + snacks is the best combo)
Hike through the foliage with family or friends
Watch fall sitcoms; one of my personal favorites is Gilmore Girls
Furthermore, if you want to pretend you’re in Stars Hollow, visit a local bookstore and channel your inner Rory Gilmore
Take your dog to the park and play in the leaves. If you don’t have a furry friend, you can take a human friend instead.
Bundle up and enjoy the sweater weather aesthetic in your favorite fall outfits
Wake up early, grab some apple cider and a donut, and walk in the crisp morning air
Dress your pets up for the holidays. Adorn your black cat with an orange witch hat or your puppy with a bowtie collar. You can even dress up yourself!
Bake gingerbread cookies, pumpkin bread, and cinnamon rolls
Share your fall treats at a picnic before it gets too chilly
Host a friendsgiving
Sit in Central Park, or any of New York City’s green spaces, and paint the changing leaves
Go apple picking, visit a pumpkin patch, or hang out at a fall festival
ie. New York Comedy Festival (November 8-14) and Brooklyn Folks Festival (November 12-13)
Have a bonfire with friends, make s’mores, and drink hot chocolate
